Conservation

Professional experience

I am a highly experienced collections care consultant and accredited paper conservator with over 25 years’ experience in the field. My business is listed on the Conservation Register and I am an accreditation assessor for the Institute of Conservation

My first job was with the Bodleian Library, Oxford where I was fortunate to work with some of the most experienced book and paper conservators in the field. Following my 8 years in Oxford I joined the Senior Management team at London Metropolitan Archives, where I ran the conservation and reprographics studios as well as the collections care element of Keats House Museum. I have also worked for the Victoria & Albert Museum, Tate Britain and Worcester College, Oxford.

Since becoming freelance in 2005, I have had the opportunity to work with a wide range of heritage organisations (small and large, local and national) and aim to come up with high standard, pragmatic solutions applicable to the particular needs of the client.
