Hello, I am a freelance Collections Care professional and Paper Conservator, experienced in providing support for organisations wanting to
improve access to their collections. I can offer specialist advice on the care and management of paper-based collections including;
• documents • printed books • photographic media
• parchment • bound archives • art-on-paper
• mixed media • audio visual • ‘new’ media
As well as working collaboratively with in-house staff, large projects often require a team of specialists and I have an established network of
archivists, curators and other collections care consultants with extensive experience of working together. No project is too small and I am keen to
support organisations that do not have the benefit of conservation staff.
"Helen’s work provided The Norris Museum with all the tools necessary for the future care and conservation of the Norris Library. She was
easy to talk to, very conscientious and professional, and understood the limitations of a small museum with staff that do not have any library
collections background. I would have no hesitation in recommending her to other organisations." Helen Giles, Curator Norris Museum
I am committed to providing high quality services to my clients and have a wide range of skills to draw on. I am able to combine the knowledge
gained from many years as a practising conservator with experience of being part of the senior management team running a busy and successful archive
service. Find out more about the range of professional services I can offer to archives, museums and libraries of all types.
